The Yankton Police Department wants to recognize agency personnel who demonstrate dedication, courage or superior initiative in the performance of their duties, or while providing exceptional service to the agency and/or community. Positive input from the community may result in an employee receiving recognition in a variety of forms. 

1. To report outstanding or exceptional service by a member of the YPD, please call (605) 668-5210.
2. Download and fill out the online Commendation Form. 
3. Email a signed copy to YPDComments@cityofyankton.org.  If the commendation is for the Chief of Police, please email the signed copy to City Manager Amy Leon ALeon@cityofyankton.org.
