Therapeutic Writing Group

Journaling can be a powerful tool to improve your emotional well-being. If you're interested in therapeutic writing, you're in luck! The Yankton Community Library is hosting a free therapeutic writing group. This group is open to the public for individuals 18 and older. No registration or prior attendance is required. Take advantage of this opportunity to connect with others and enhance your emotional well-being through the power of writing.

The upcoming therapeutic writing group, led by Licensed Professional Counselor Keley Smith-Keller, Ed.D, will focus on the purposeful and intentional use of life-based writing to further emotional well-being. By working through a series of prompts, participants will be able to make sense of their thoughts and experiences and organize them in a meaningful way. The act of journaling can help you recognize patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and behavior, which can lead to enhanced mood and physical well-being. Don't miss this opportunity to join a supportive community that will help you achieve your emotional well-being goals.
